The Oil & Gas Accounting Podcast is hosted by Tom Wierman, executive director of COPAS,
and Phil Sherwood, CEO of SherWare, Inc.
Tom Wierman is in his seventh year as COPAS Executive Director. Prior to that Tom worked as an E&P accountant for nearly 30 years. Tom held assignments in Wichita, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Calgary Alberta (Canada). Tom has served as a society president and a board member for both the Kansas and Canada societies. At the COPAS level, he served as Tax Committee Chair and was a board member for six years. In 2009 he served as COPAS president.
Phil Sherwood, CEO of SherWare, Inc., an oil and gas accounting software company, has been in the industry for 26+ years. He spends his days working 1:1 with oil and gas operators, accountants and bookkeepers to keep their systems working smoothly for oil and gas accounting. More than 1,000 operators across the country use his software today.
