About Phil Sherwood

Experienced CEO and President who loves working with Oil & Gas companies to help them simplify their accounting.

Over 25 years ago I started out on a mission to help independent oil & gas operators simplify their accounting. I’ve done this by providing oil & gas accounting software that makes their job easier and saves them a lot of time and money.

That company I started 26 years ago is SherWare, Inc. and we currently have over 1,000 companies that are using our accounting software to get their revenue distributions and joint-interest-billings (JIBs) done quickly and on time. Several of those operating companies have been using our software for over 20 years.

As a part of growing SherWare, I’ve become fascinated by how some people just operate at a higher level than others. They seem to have more energy and to get much more done in the same amount of time. They also are very clear on their goals and know how to consistently perform at their highest levels. This led me to pursue getting certified as a high performance coach so that I could help others reach their highest potential.

Quotes

You hear the word life coach and performance coach, And you’re like, what the heck is that? You think of a football coach. What are they doing coaching these athletes that make millions of dollars that are much more talented than they are? Well, they teach them and then they challenge them and help each player to take their game to the next level. And that’s the same thing a high performance coach does. We teach them principles and we challenge people to get to the next level of performance-Phil Sherwood

First and foremost, you’ve got to get clear on who you are, and how you want to show up in all areas of your life. You know, most of the time we don’t even contemplate this. Most of the time we live in reaction mode instead of living intentionally. -Phil Sherwood

What habits do you currently have that are supporting your energy? Do you have any morning routines that include meditation and exercise? What habits do you have nutrition wise that support your energy?

I felt like I was living my life by default, rather than by design. Because I wasn’t clear on what I wanted my days to look like, and what I wanted to accomplish. So rather than living life on my agenda, I was letting everybody else set the agenda for me. And when you do that, you feel like you don’t get anything accomplished. -Phil Sherwood
